Up your LinkedIn game

Whatever you use LinkedIn for, it’s important to make a great first impression. There are a few tips and tricks which can really help make your profile and content look more professional and approachable to the viewer. Heres our top 5 tips to consider –

  1. Make sure your information is correct and all sections are complete. Use your CV if you need to and make sure that theres enough content for your experience section. Between 4 and 5 sentences is enough.
  2. Pick a profile picture. Not having a picture really reduces your chances of being contacted or can look like you don’t use LinkedIn that often. Just have your face in the picture frame and having a smiling photo is a great idea rather than something too formal.
  3. Feature posts on your profile that have done well or got lots of engagement. You can pin posts to the top of your profile, similar to Tiktok.
  4. Write in your own language. although its a professional. platform you can write like you talk in normal life. It makes you more relatable! (Keep away from swear words though)
  5. Try and use a picture or video when you are writing a post as its proven to get more engagement when theres a visual aid too

Like with any social media platform consistency is key. Try and post at the same time every day or at least 3 times a week to get noticed.

Good Luck!
