Whatever you use LinkedIn for, it’s important to make a great first impression. There are a few tips and tricks which can really help make your profile and content look more professional and approachable to the viewer. Heres our top 5 tips to consider –
- Make sure your information is correct and all sections are complete. Use your CV if you need to and make sure that theres enough content for your experience section. Between 4 and 5 sentences is enough.
- Pick a profile picture. Not having a picture really reduces your chances of being contacted or can look like you don’t use LinkedIn that often. Just have your face in the picture frame and having a smiling photo is a great idea rather than something too formal.
- Feature posts on your profile that have done well or got lots of engagement. You can pin posts to the top of your profile, similar to Tiktok.
- Write in your own language. although its a professional. platform you can write like you talk in normal life. It makes you more relatable! (Keep away from swear words though)
- Try and use a picture or video when you are writing a post as its proven to get more engagement when theres a visual aid too
Like with any social media platform consistency is key. Try and post at the same time every day or at least 3 times a week to get noticed.
